Hamilton County Community Safety Plan
OUR VISION
A safe, thriving Hamilton County where every resident, regardless of race, income, or neighborhood, can live, work, learn, and play without fear of violence or harm.
-
Prevent violence and harm before they occur
Shift the focus from reactive punishment to proactive care by investing in the root causes of violence, like poverty, trauma, and lack of opportunity, before harm happens.
-
Respond to crises with care, not punishment
Create alternatives to policing by expanding crisis response teams, trauma-informed practices, and support services that treat people with dignity during moments of need.
-
Invest in community-based solutions that build long-term safety
Fund the programs that are run by community members, faith groups, and grassroots leaders to create real safety through housing, jobs, mental health care, and youth opportunity.
-
Align government, faith, health, and grassroots efforts for coordinated impact
Break down silos and bring together institutions and communities to work in partnership so that our safety systems are unified, equitable, and accountable to the people they serve.
